From June 19th: Gaetano Filangieri and Benjamin Franklin

An International symposium dedicated to Gaetano Filangieri curated by Vincenzo Pascale (Long Island University) together with scholars and university professors from Italy (Filangieri Museum, Ca ‘Foscari, University of Salerno, University of Naples Federico II, Filangieri Association of Cava de’ Tirreni) . The various presentations offer new interpretations of the work of Gaetano Filangieri, on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and the United States of America, underlining the relevance of the Neapolitan intellectual who was able to dialogue with the major exponents of the European Enlightenment and in particular with Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of the United States of America.
